Assessing the Suitability of iPSC-Based Neural In Vitro Assays for Neurotoxicity Testing

web brain.png

iPSC-based neural models hold potential to meet the needs for assessment of neuroactive effects of chemicals through an in vitro system that closely resembles human biology.

A powerful assay platform can be built from highly functional, rapid maturating, fully defined neural co-cultures with a phenotypic approach. During this webinar, NeuCyte lead scientists Dr Davila and Dr Haag will share studies on the predictive power of such an in vitro system. Such neuron/glia co-cultures showed pronounced neuronal activity and robust formation of synchronized network activity, demonstrating the utility of this direct-differentiated human model for neurotoxicity assessment.
